Hello, from Pakachoag Elementary School!!   Welcome to our webpage.  We hope you find it helpful, informative and easy to navigate.  We also hope you check back often to see what new things are happening with us here at school.

Pakachoag continues to offer an excellent academic schedule.   Our school day begins at 8:25 and ends at 2:55.  Students use Houghton Mifflin anthologies and Write Traits as part of their English language arts classes.  Everyday Math is our core program for mathematics.   Science, social studies, music, art and physical education round out the week.  Intervention blocks are also scheduled for all grades.  This block of time affords teachers the opportunity to direct lessons geared towards specific needs.  The students work independently,  with partners, in small groups,  or even receive individualized support from the teacher.   All students participate in these enrichment or skill practice and review activities.   A glimpse into any classroom during this time will show students working on a variety of tasks including such things as math fact drills and concept practice, vocabulary, reading fluency, comprehension, writing, poetry or even review of a specific assignment from social studies or science.   As you can see, not one minute is wasted because every minute, just like every child, is precious.
